A Night to Remember
The sinking of the Titanic is presented in a realistic manner within this tense play that was British. The tragedy is depicted from the perspective of the second officer, Charles Lightoller of the ocean liner. Despite lots of warnings concerning icehockey, the boat sails on, with Capt. Edward John Smith keeping it moving in a steady clip. When the doomed boat finally hits an iceberg, the crew and passengers detect that they lack enough lifeboats, and tragedy follows.
