Five Star

After John's absent father is struck by a stray bullet, Primo takes it to verse the young boy at the code of these roads --one founded on honor and maintained by fear. A member of the Bloods considering that the age of twelve--both at the film as well as the truth is --the streets of Brooklyn are typical Primo has ever known. While John questions if to input to this life, Primo must decide whether to leave it as he attempts to become a husband and dad. At which the stifling heat seems to encase all, Place during those nyc summertime, Five Star plunges with searing intensity in to gang culture. Director Keith Miller finds the lives of these two men using a distance eschewing worn clichés by its focus. Distinctions between fiction and real life remain intentionally ambiguous, allowing both of these men's narrative while they face the question of what it means to be a person, to resonate beyond the streets.
