Gloomy Sunday

Budapest at the thirties. The restaurant owner Laszlo hires the pianist András to play with in his restaurant. Both men fall in love with the gorgeous waitress Ilona who inspires András into his composition. His song of Gloomy Sunday emphasized, for its melody strikes off a string of suicides and is , in the beginning, loved. The fragile balance of the erotic ménage à trois is sent off kilter once the German Hans falls in love with Ilona as well and moves.
