Only Yesterday
It's 1982, and Taeko is 27 years of age, unmarried, and it has lived her whole life. She decides to go to her family in the countryside, and also as the train travels throughout nighttime, memories flooding back of her years: the immature stirrings of romance, the beginning of puberty, and also the frustrations of math and boys. At the channel young farmer Toshio meets her, along with also the experiences with him begin to beg her to abandoned longings. In lyrical switches between the current and the history, Taeko wonders if she's has been loyal to the dreams of her childhood self, and also contemplates the arc of her life.
