Katarina is two decades old. Using a troubled past at a suburb, her entire life is apparently already set in rock - until she discovers music. Everything changes when she hears that a performance of Mozart's'Requiem' at the Gothenburg Concert Hall that opens a new environment that is beautiful and sends her reeling. She believes that she has to change her life and get as far away from her ugly reality as achievable. However, the path she has to follow along proves to be a one, filled with betrayal, lies and also a dangerous liaison with the conductor Adam that is wed. Yet Katarina is prepared to do anything to attain her individuality.
