Sayonara

Air Force Major Lloyd Gruver (Marlon Brando) is reassigned into a Western airbase, also is confronted around racial bias against the Western people. Because some of those soldiers become involved with women, in defiance of US military 23, the problem is compounded. Normally an officer who's by-the-book, Gruver has to take a situation when a friend of hisor her honorable guy Joe Kelly (Red Buttons) falls in love with a Western woman Katsumi (Miyoshi Umeki) and marries her. Gruver risks his position by simply functioning as best man at the marriage ceremony.
