The Marriage of Maria Braun

Near the end of World War II,'' Hermann, who's immediately sent off to combat is married by Maria. Maria considers that Hermann is dead when the war concludes. She starts working in an Allied pub, where she meets American soldier Bill. They begin a relationship that's disrupted when Hermann yields living. During a scuffle between both men, Bill is inadvertently killed by Maria. Hermann takes the blame and goes to jail, whereas Maria begins a life.
