July 4, ancient Korea, 1762. The Crown Prince Hyojang, posthumously named son of King Yeongjo of Joseon, Sado, is accused of treason. The king asks him to commit suicide, however, it is prevented by his closest vassals, or so the king requests the prince to buy in a wooden rice chest, where he suffers deprivation of food and water.
