Wild River

A young field administrator for the TVA comes to oversee the construction of a dam on the Tennessee River. He encounters resistance from the local folks, particularly a farmer who objects on his employment (with pay) of local black laborers. Much of the plot revolves around the eviction of an elderly woman from the home in an island in the River, and the romance with the widowed granddaughter of that woman of the young man.
