Empty Nest

Empty Nest is an American sitcom that aired on NBC from 1988 to 1995. The series was created as a spin-off of The Golden Girls producer Susan Harris and by founder. Empty Nest was one of the top 10 most-watched programs of those year. It was produced by Witt/Thomas/Harris Productions in association with Touchstone Television. The show theory introduced some elements from the comedy series Father, Dear Father having a father living together with dog and both daughters. Unlike that series, both daughters in Empty Nest are adults that are selfsupporting, and also also the lead character can be just actually a widower. Empty Nest was a portion of NBC's Saturday night block and throughout its first four seasons it aired at 9:30pm ET following a Golden Girls. Two of the cast were alumni of Susan Harris' prior shows, Soap in one. Mulligan was Manoff's Father in Law at Soap.
