Jack Taylor
Jack Taylor is a Irish television movie. Set in Galway, the series celebrities Iain Glen in the role of Jack Taylor, a former officer with an Garda Síochána who becomes a"finder" after departing the service. Taylor is just a guy who goes looking for clues at which the others haven't bothered . He knows his hometown's roads such as the back of his hand.
The series was initially broadcast on TV3 in Ireland on 2 and then aired with Dutch subtitles on Canvas in Belgium. It received its UK introduction on 21 February 2013. The series has been made available. It has received mixed reviews from critics. Bernice Harrison of The Times believed that the series was spoiled by the voiceovers, which lent the texture of a gumshoe in a film noir to the character of Glen. However, David Stephenson of the Daily Express said he was hooked with the strong starting order of the first episode. A investigator interviewed by The Guardian's Laura Barnett explained that he found that the series amusing, but that it did not give a true portrayal of his profession.
