Suspense is a American television anthology series that ran on CBS Television in 1949 to 1954. It had been adapted from the radio app of the same name that ran from 1942. Like most television programs that were ancient, the series was broadcast from nyc. The Auto-Lite business sponsored This, and each episode was introduced by sponsor Rex Marshall, that promoted Auto-Lite spark plugs, car batteries, tractors, along with other car parts. While others were original for television some of these scripts were adapted from Suspense radio scripts. By writers , many scripts were adaptations of literary classics Much like the radio app. Whereas authors such as Roald Dahl and Gore Vidal contributed classic authors such as Agatha Christie, Edgar Allan Poe, and Charles Dickens had stories adapted for the series. Many notable actors seemed on the app, for example Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Franchot Tone, Robert Emhardt, Leslie Nielsen, Lloyd Bridges, and many more. Episodes were listed on kinescope, although the app proved to be a television series that is live. Now however, only about 90 of those 260 episodes reside.
