Today is. The program debuted on January 14, 1952. It had been the first of its genre on television that is American and also in the Earth, and is your fifth-longest running television show. Originally a program on week days, it enlarged in 1992 to Sundays in 1987 and also Saturdays. The weekday broadcast enlarged to four hours in 2007, and also to 3 hours in 2000. Now's dominance was unchallenged by another networks until the 1980s, as it was triggered by ABC's Good Morning America. Today re-took that the Nielsen ratings lead the week of December 11, 1995, and held on that position for 852 consecutive weeks until the week of April 9, 2012, as it was conquered by Great Morning America yet again. Back in 2002, Today has been ranked #17 of All Time.
