Candles on Bay Street
Dee dee contributes to her hometown with her 11 year old son, Trooper, 13 years later she ran off with her own boyfriend. Her childhood friend, Sam, is married and he and his wife are the town's veterinarians. After Sam tells her that they were close friends growing up lydia is really a small wary about dee dee and dee-dee was his first crush. However, Trooper and dee dee find their way to hearts of the townspeople with friendships and their sweet helpfulness. Dee dee sets up a candle making business in town square and invites many of the ladies of the town to candle making parties, and she and Lydia become friends. One evening after dinner together with Sam and Lydia, dee dee tells Sam she doesn't always have a lot longer to live and she is very sick and she needs his help to find a good family in the city to embrace Trooper. Sam tells Lydia everything plus so they decide to embrace Trooper themselves if/when something happens to DeeDee.
