Penny Serenade
A light hearted romantic drama starring Cary Grant & Irene Dunne as a couple who meet, fall in love, reunite and quarrel. While listening to a record of"Penny Serenade", Julie Gardiner Adams (Irene Dunne) begins reflecting on her history. She recalls her spontaneous marriage to newspaper reporter Roger Adams (Cary Grant), which commences a deliriously satisfied note but turns out to be fraught with catastrophe. Other songs remind her of their appetite for a kid, their marriage, the courtship, and the joys and sorrows they've shared. A flood of memories come back for her as she ponders on the present troubles and the way they arose.
