Everybody's Fine
From acclaimed filmmaker Zhang Meng (The Piano in a Factory), this particular Chinese remake of Giuseppe Tornatore's (Cinema Paradiso) Everyone's Nice and its own American version starring Robert De Niro can be an emotionally stirring drama. The story follows a widower's visits with his four adult children, who lead lives in four cities that are rapidly changing. It provides an intimate look at battles with the young generation in a society transitioning to a present that is materialist from a beyond.
