Monsieur Batignole

In 1942, in a little apartment in the construction of his grocery, the apolitical grocer Edmond Batignole resides within an inhabited Paris. When his future son in law along with collaborator of the German Pierre-Jean Lamour calls the Bernstein family to be arrested by the Nazis , they move to the apartment that is confiscated. Some days later, the young Simon Bernstein comes to his dwelling and escapes from the Germans. He feels sorry for the boy and punishes him, hiding Simon from his own wife and also from Pierre-Jean when Batignole finds him. Later, two cousins of Simon match with him in this grocery's cellar. When Pierre-Jean finds the kiddies, Batignole decides to traveling to Switzerland with the kids.
