Arms Alchemy

The manga series Buso Renkin is written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki, who is also responsible for creating the Rurouni Kenshin series. Nobuhiro's wife, Kaoru Kurosaki, provides him with occasional writing aid. From June of 2003 to June of 2005, 80 chapters of Buso Renkin were published in the shonen magazine Weekly Shonen Jump published by Shueisha. Shueisha compiled the separate chapters into 10 tankbon volumes, which were distributed between January 5, 2004, and April 4, 2006, respectively. Viz Media has acquired the license necessary to publish the series in North America. The manga was converted by Xebec into an anime television series, which ran for a total of 26 episodes in Japan before coming to an end. On the evening of April27,2009, the series made its debut on television in North America for the first time on the Funimation Channel. The series has also been adapted into two drama CDs, two light novels, and a video game for the PlayStation 2 platform.
