Kidnapped

David McCallum stars like the rebellious Alan Breck Stewart, Also this ambitious serial (a Coproduction between HTV along with Germany's Tele-Munchen) also features a host of British character actors, including Bill Simpson, Patrick Allen, Andrew Keir, Patrick Magee and Frank Windsor. When David Balfour arrives to maintain his inheritance, his comparative tries to murder him afterward has him sent off to be sold like a slave in the colonies. Fortunately he strikes up a friendship with Alan Breck Stewart, who is following Bonnie Prince Charlie's defeat at Culloden. After the captain of a ship attempts to kill Breck for his money, the two find a way to make it at property and set out for Edinburgh, dodging the ruthless Redcoats over the way.
