Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge
It is a BBC television series of six episodes and a Christmas special in 1995 called "Knowing Me Knowing You." According to Wikipedia, it gets its name from ABBA's hit song "Knowing Me, Knowing You." Alan Partridge was played by Steve Coogan, a self-satisfied Norwich-based broadcaster. In the radio show On the Hour, there was a character named Alan, who was a spin-off character. It was written by Coogan, Armando Iannucci, and Patrick Marber, with the help of Doon Mackichan, Rebecca Front, and David Schneider, who played Alan's usual visitors each week. They also contributed to the script. The show's music and arrangements were provided by Steve Brown, who also appeared as Glen Ponder, the band leader. Chat shows were parodied throughout the program. A live crowd made it impossible for viewers to mistake the show for a real talk show, as the laughter of the audience was audible. Following the termination of his marriage and television career, Alan starred in two series of the sitcom I'm Alan Partridge.
