Smash
Smash is an American musical drama tv show created by playwright Theresa Rebeck and made by Robert Greenblatt for NBC. Steven Spielberg functioned as one of many executive producers. The show produced by Universal Television and DreamWorks Television and had been broadcast in the US by NBC. The show revolves around the creation of a new Broadway musical and specifically a literary New York theatre community. It features a large ensemble cast, led Christian Borle, Jack Davenport, Katharine McPhee, by Debra Messing, Megan Hilty, Jeremy Jordan, and Anjelica Huston.
The show debuted on February 6, 2012, and also its very first season ended on May 14, 2012. Its next and last season ended May 26, 2013 and premiered on February 5, 2013. NBC announced a reversal in March 2013 in their lineup and moved the show into Saturdays starting. The show had been officially cancelled on May 10, 2013. Second and last season executive producer/show runner Josh Safran explained the last episode of year might work like a series finale, if the show never be renewed.
