The Herculoids
The Herculoids is an American animated cartoon television series that originally aired on Saturday mornings in the United States and was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions. Alex Toth was the show's creator and designer. CBS broadcast the first episode of the show for the first time on September 9, 1967. Although Hanna-Barbera only produced one season for the show's initial showing, all of the show's original 18 episodes were rebroadcast throughout the 1968–1969 television season. On September6,1969, The Herculoids came to an end as a running series on television. In1981, a total of eleven new episodes of the Space Stars show were created for broadcast. The narratives are based on science fiction, and both the structure and the subject matter of the stories are reminiscent of those found in Jonny Quest and Space Ghost. The planet Amzot is a very far away setting for this series. The word "Amzot" was initially brought up in both the Space Ghost episode "The Molten Monsters of Moltar" and in the episode "Time Creatures" that was actually part of the main series.
