Witchblade
Witchblade was an American TV show that ran from 2001 to 2002 on TNT. The show is based on the Witchblade comic book series. It started with a pilot film in August 2000. Ralph Hemecker, Marc Silvestri, and J.D. Zeik wrote several of the episodes. Anthony Cistaro played Kenneth Irons, David Chokachi played Jake McCartey, Eric Etebari played Ian Nottingham, Will Yun Lee played Danny Woo, Conrad Dunn played Tommy Gallo, Kenneth Welsh played Joe Siri, and John Hensley played Gabriel Bowman, among other roles. Yancy Butler played Sara Pezzini. Even though the show got good reviews and was popular with viewers, it was canceled in September 2002. Some people thought that it was because Butler was going to rehab for alcoholism. The show had 24 episodes over the course of two seasons on TNT. The first episode came out on June 12, 2001, and the last one came out on August 26, 2002. Even though it ended, Witchblade was ranked as the seventh best basic cable drama of 2002. Matt Hawkins, the editor of Top Cow, says that the Witchblade TV show was canceled because the lead actress, Yancy Butler, was an alcoholic and went to rehab. It was and is the highest-rated show that was ever canceled.
